[He doesn't mind replacing them for him.]

[A shrug.]

I mean— yeah, if there's a need for it.

[He forces out a quick breath and grabs the stack of envelopes from his night stand, tapping them against his other hand in a faint show of anxiety before he offers them over.]

[He stands up and takes them, tucking them into a pocket on the inside of his shirt. In exchange, he gives him a small, silver key.]

The cabinet is in the front room, near the door. It's small. If you ever need them."

[He blinks.]

And you're giving me a key?

[It's pocketed, though he still looks confused.]

To the cabinet, yes.

[He tries not to look equally confused.]

They're yours. You should have a way to get to them if I'm not around.

[He just shakes his head slightly. Is it really that odd that he'd be a little thrown off by being handed a key just like that?]

Yeah. I mean, of course. Thanks, doc.

Of course. I'll get out of your hair, alright?

Come by the gazebo if you get bored. I could always use the company.

[reargunner]

[He smiles - small, but genuine - and nods a bit.]
