[He stands up and reaches down a hand for her.]

And John's art just gives me a headache sometimes. But he's good about warning people first.

[She makes a soft noise, but makes to take his hand to stand up.]

We're planning to test and see what it does to me.

But ah...have you been...blessed by John? It might change things.

Blessed?

He's taught me spells. Well -

[Taught isn't actually the right word.]

He gives me spells and I just know them.

[Sheehan is as mundane as they come; he doesn't know how to describe it.]

First Tendi, now you.

[Her sigh was gently exasperated.]

Blessings is better than calling you a warlock- and if that's how he teaches you, that's what you are.

It's not a bad thing. But it may be why his paintings don't effect you much.

[heyboss]

Well, if we're being truthful, it was me first. He wanted to give me ways to defend myself since - [He gestures down to himself.] - I am not suited for it.

And I can change into a bear. Which - is actually quite a better deterrent than I anticipated. But that's not his magic.

[He goes quiet a moment.]

I shot him once. During a - flood. Some magical mixups. I hadn't held a real gun since the War and I don't ever want to again. So he helped me ensure that I could defend myself and my friends without having to harm another person.

A bear? To Arthur's tiger, huh.

[She smiles briefly, before reaching out. If Lester allows it, she'll take both hands.]

I understand. I am not that person anymore, who can be gentle in a fight, but I do understand Lester.

But- if you want other spells, especially healing or any of that- restraints or even some hand to hand tips?

Let me know.

I can heal, to some extent. But - I will, Sokie. I promise. [He squeezes her hands.]

I was just - tired of making people worry about me. At least now they know that if something happens, I can keep myself safe.

I've got a few specialized spells. Depending on what you want or need to know.

[She squeezed his hands gently.]

You know they will anyway. But at least this way, they'll have less reason to fuss.

[heyboss]

Maybe. [He smiles and starts to guide them out, back towards Arthur and John's cabins.]

But I think you are underestimating how terrifying I am as a bear.

Oh, I've been cursed as a bear before. They're terrifying.

[She walked with him in an easy ample.]

Consider this my way of showing I care. In my own utterly twisted and weird way.

[heyboss]

There is nothing twisted and weird about it.

[He smiles.]

Have I ever told you what made me fall in love with Arthur?

[Strange, he thinks, how easily that comes out now. Or maybe it's just Sokie's influence.]

I know. But saying it as a joke makes me feel better.

[She tilts her head up at him, offering a small smile. Funny how much they trust each other so much so quickly.]

But no, you didn't. What's the story?

[heyboss]

[This is how friendship is supposed to be. He leans against her as they talk, as if imparting a great secret.]

There were these terrible monsters. Awful things. Someone had brought them in but - I'm not certain of the story.

I was pinned down, calling for help, and here comes Arthur with a goddamn flaming sword to battle it off of me.

There have been books written about this very scenario.

[She very casually moves to wrap an arm around the back of his shoulders as he talks.

This is nice. There's a part of her that feels spooked by that but- it's nice.]

You're telling me that Arthur came in like a knight and saved you?

That's something out of a romantic novel, Lester.

[heyboss]

I know! So I really couldn't resist. Of course, it took him a lot longer to realize it, but he got there eventually.

[He happily leans into that touch as they walk.]

Ah well, he's a little silly. That's to be expected.

[She chuckled quietly. ]

And now you're married. I'm happy you both found each other eventually. Arthur with a flaming sword...what a look.

[heyboss]

I'll ask him to recreate it one day. He'll hate it. It'll be fantastic.

[He takes her to the elevator and lets go to push the button.]

He can make it anytime? Or would this be in the Enclosure?

Because he needs to pose either way.

[She leaned against him, smiling as she waited for the elevator. ]

I call dibs on full teasing rights.

[heyboss]

I have no idea what he can do. But there is a sword he keeps.

And you can tease him. As long as I can witness it.

[He can't let him get away that easily.]

If he has it, I want to see it.

[She offered a mock double take.]

As if I'd leave you out! I'm planning on taking pictures of his offended face anyway. I'll send them to you.

[Ding goes the elevator. And she gives him a gentle nudge so they can get on.]

[heyboss]

[Once inside, he pushes the button and leans against the opposite wall, hands in his pockets.]

You do love me. There is no sweeter image that an offended Arthur.

Of course I do, utterly.

[She placed a hand over her heart, even as she leaned against the other wall.]

I'd never deprive you that much fun.

[heyboss]

Always looking out for me. I appreciate it.

[He laughs, and when the door opens, he gestures for her to step through first.]

Did you move all your things back to John's?

[weirdnecro]

Of course~

[She smiles back at him, stepping out before him- but waiting right by the door for him to exit.]

Not yet, but it's going to be slow progress. In part because my room has a lot of odds and ends of things I've collected, as well as my magic journals.

But I hadn't fully moved in before. Honestly, it was because...I barely used it.
