Thank you Lester. I know it feels like tattling, but it could be dangerous.

And it helps that I don't like Arthur being hurt.

[She blows out a breath, sitting back and folding her arms under her chest.]

No idea Sheehan.

Well, that's very good because I don't think I could be anyone else.

Tell me how you're feeling now. You were so upset the last time we talked...

[She snorted in laughter. That was cute.]

Ah, well...that's...kind of mixed? Like, I'm not spiraling anymore, so that's great. I feel...stable.

Just that under level of feeling sorry for myself, which isn't...great.

[heyboss]

[He flashes her a small smile.]

The feeling sorry for yourself isn't fun, but that emotion won't kill you. It won't hurt you.

I'm relieved you're feeling stable, though. Really. It must have been exhausting to carry all of that all at once.

I don't like it. It feels...gross.

But admittedly, the day I came back home, I slept the best I had in days.

I tend not to sleep when I'm stressed, so. That might have been part of it.

[heyboss]

John is very good for sleep.

[He is quite pleased to hear that, though.]

And I'm so relieved that you moved back in where you feel safe.

[weirdnecro]

He's been making sure that I have a tentacle on me whenever I'm in the cabin.

[Her voice was very fond. He missed her, and she missed him just as much.]

We agreed that we'll live together from now on. My cabin will mostly be for storage.

We're hoping the Admiral will approve of an art studio slash workshop in our living space.

[heyboss]

I don't see why he wouldn't. That sounds like a really good idea.

[He puts a hand on his heart.]

And I'm not just saying that because of where I work.

No, you're saying it because you think it's good for the both of us.

John doesn't do well alone, and I feel safe and happy. As does he.

Also, this means your meal planning may, or may not, become less chaotic.

[heyboss]

I don't mind the meal prep however it works. I promise.

[He is worried about John feeling alone. He might need to bring it up to him because he's now a little worried that he caused that.]

Anything else you'd like to get off your chest, or can we keep going back so I can get into the pants with the elastic?

Don't forget about admiring John's art. If, well, it isn't sanity draining.

[She had no idea. She hadn't seen it yet.]

[He stands up and reaches down a hand for her.]

And John's art just gives me a headache sometimes. But he's good about warning people first.

[She makes a soft noise, but makes to take his hand to stand up.]

We're planning to test and see what it does to me.

But ah...have you been...blessed by John? It might change things.

Blessed?

He's taught me spells. Well -

[Taught isn't actually the right word.]

He gives me spells and I just know them.

[Sheehan is as mundane as they come; he doesn't know how to describe it.]

First Tendi, now you.

[Her sigh was gently exasperated.]

Blessings is better than calling you a warlock- and if that's how he teaches you, that's what you are.

It's not a bad thing. But it may be why his paintings don't effect you much.

Well, if we're being truthful, it was me first. He wanted to give me ways to defend myself since - [He gestures down to himself.] - I am not suited for it.

And I can change into a bear. Which - is actually quite a better deterrent than I anticipated. But that's not his magic.

[He goes quiet a moment.]

I shot him once. During a - flood. Some magical mixups. I hadn't held a real gun since the War and I don't ever want to again. So he helped me ensure that I could defend myself and my friends without having to harm another person.

A bear? To Arthur's tiger, huh.

[She smiles briefly, before reaching out. If Lester allows it, she'll take both hands.]

I understand. I am not that person anymore, who can be gentle in a fight, but I do understand Lester.

But- if you want other spells, especially healing or any of that- restraints or even some hand to hand tips?

I can heal, to some extent. But - I will, Sokie. I promise. [He squeezes her hands.]

I was just - tired of making people worry about me. At least now they know that if something happens, I can keep myself safe.

I've got a few specialized spells. Depending on what you want or need to know.

[She squeezed his hands gently.]

You know they will anyway. But at least this way, they'll have less reason to fuss.

Maybe. [He smiles and starts to guide them out, back towards Arthur and John's cabins.]

But I think you are underestimating how terrifying I am as a bear.

Oh, I've been cursed as a bear before. They're terrifying.

[She walked with him in an easy ample.]

[He smiles.]

[Strange, he thinks, how easily that comes out now. Or maybe it's just Sokie's influence.]

I know. But saying it as a joke makes me feel better.

[She tilts her head up at him, offering a small smile. Funny how much they trust each other so much so quickly.]
